We are looking for a Functional QA Lead – MFCS & Reporting to join our team.
The Functional QA Lead – MFCS & Reporting plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications and systems related to Merchandise and Financial Control Systems (MFCS) and Reporting within the client’s environment.
This role requires a strong understanding of retail business processes, a deep knowledge of Oracle technologies related to MFCS and reporting functionalities, and proven leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of QA analysts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA analysts, providing guidance, support, and training on testing methodologies and best practices, particularly those related to Oracle applications.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional testing of MFCS and Reporting applications, with a focus on Oracle-based systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand detailed business requirements and user workflows related to MFCS and Reporting functionalities.
- Gain a deep understanding of Hibbett | City Gear’s MFCS and Reporting processes, including data flows, system integrations, and reporting requirements.
- Document and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation.
- Collaborate with on-site and offshore teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and efficient communication.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in MFCS and Reporting, particularly those related to Oracle applications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of functional testing processes and quality assurance standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on functional testing of enterprise applications.
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring QA teams.
- Experience working with Oracle databases and applications in a retail or financial environment.
- Strong knowledge of MFCS and Reporting processes and workflows.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships with various stakeholders.

- Experience working with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
