The startup started 3 years ago with a small community in Brooklyn, New York. Since then, we have grown into the largest pickup sports app in North America. With the app, finding a one-off pickup game, league, or tournament near you is fast and easy. All you have to do is tap the app, join a game, and show up ready to play!

What you’ll do:
As Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the overall technical direction of the company. Working closely with the CEO, you’ll be responsible for leading and growing the team. Your responsibilities also include:
- Lead product and technical roadmap. Influence product planning, prioritize tasks, and ensure successful execution of the roadmap while owning technical domains and architecture. ● Build the team with exceptional talent. Actively participate in hiring and onboarding. ● Manage and mentor the engineering team. Review and mentor team members’ code to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Hands-on technical leadership: Actively participate in coding, while setting an example for the team through best coding practices.
- Collaborate with business development, product, and other teams to define and execute the technical roadmap.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize development processes and improve code quality.

Requirements:
- Fluent in English.
- Proven experience as a senior software engineer with a strong track record of delivering successful projects and at least 5+ years of cumulative industry experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in team management, preferably in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve their goals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
